Sad is a Gesture in Lies of P. Performing the Sad gesture shows players displaying the emotion of sadness. Gestures are "emotes" that will trigger the character to do poses or actions, gestures can also be used as an interaction to unlock some Secrets of the game. Gestures are normally set in the Quick Select Gesture Menu or can be triggered by selecting the desired gesture in the main Gesture Menu.
Those who have felt loss do not need sadness. However, it can dull one's pain.
Where to Find Sad Gesture in Lies of P
Players can acquire this gesture upon lying to Julian the Gentleman when they're about to complete his quest, Find my Wife's Belongings.
How to use Sad Gesture in Lies of P
- Performing this gesture in front of some altars in the St. Frangelico Cathedral contributes to P's Humanity Points. By interacting with the altars, you can identify what type of gesture you need to use based on the text that is indicated.
- Players can perform this gesture to the Broken Puppet. Completing a set of gestures for the Broken Puppet can reward players with an Attribute Resistance Ampoule, a Radiant Ergo Fragment, a Resplendent Ergo Fragment, a Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant, and a Quartz.
- Perform this gesture at the altar in front of the St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel Stargazer.

AnonymousI have searched everywhere i can think of in game and online and i have no god damn clue where to use the sad emote at the cathedral. I did it in front of everything even loosely resembling an altar and got jack squat.

Sad gesture didn’t work at the statue of the man and didnt work at the one winged angel either. Pray worked for the one winged angel. So maybe you can’t use both. This page needs to be more specific of which statue - the man or angel.

Worth noting there's some altars around the cathedral that talk about needing to pray or cry. I wonder if doing the emote at them has any effect?
Article is wrong and needs updated. Sad does not work at any altar. Whoever put it was trolling and should be banned from future updates of the wiki.
