The Tunnels within the Factory

The Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer can be found at the bottom of a warehouse after exploring the Workshop Union Entrance. After activating it, you can find an Electric Blitz Abrasive to the left by a vertical red pipe. There are a couple paths you can go from here. For some extra loot, head into the red horizontal pipe straight ahead from the Stargazer. The water here is corrupted and will continuously inflict Corruption while you are standing in it. You'll find a few enemies in this area. Try to stay on land on the outer edges of the water when fighting them to avoid building up Corruption.

As you emerge from the pipe, head to your right to find a Radiant Ergo Fragment. A Worker Puppet and Puppet Lady will come attack you. Deal with them, then circle around to the strip of land opposite to the pipe to find a Fable Catalyst. Keep moving forward deeper into the room, staying on this side of the water to keep dry. You'll find a Brawler Puppet ahead, and thee Lady Puppets will emerge from the water with it. After defeating them, pick up the Vivid Ergo Fragment, then continue forward. You'll get to a dead end where you'll find a Hidden Moonstone on the right and Venigni's Urgent Repair Tool on the left. When you approach the area, a Dimensional Butterfly will also appear. Defeat it for a Hidden Moonstone, being careful of the puppets that emerge from the water.

Return through the red pipe back to the Stargazer. This time, head to the left and up the stairs as you emerge back out the pipe. You'll see an item in the distance. Don't rush to it as a large flaming boulder will come crashing down from the right of the tunnel. Time it right, and when it's safe, pick up the Dim Ergo Chunk. The Blank Puppet here will awaken. Either lure it out onto the path of the flaming boulder, or lure it to a safe place to fight.

Start by heading left through the tunnel. At the end, you'll find a Dim Ergo Fragment. You can step onto the rim of the hole here to get out of the boulder's way. The Blank Puppet that awakens should get hit by the next boulder. While it's knocked down, run past it back to the start. You'll then want to go further up the tunnel. As you ascend, you'll find some small ledges you can take cover in as you wait for the boulder to roll past. There will also be some more Blank Puppets in the area - like before, either lure them onto the path of the boulder and take them out, or lure them closer to the safe zones to defeat them there.

At the top of the slope, you'll find Gemini's Emergency Protection by a shortcut gate. Head through the gate. There will be a split in the path that goes right. This path leads back down to the Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer. If you follow it halfway, you'll find a Hidden Moonstone. Backtrack back to the split and head forward from the shortcut gate. You'll find yourself outside and can pick up a Dim Ergo Fragment, as well as trigger a shortcut ladder leading to an area we skipped earlier near the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer. This walkthrough will cover this section a little bit later.

Head back to the shortcut gate and continue moving towards the source of the boulders. At the next safe zone on your right, a Blank Puppet will emerge from the wall. Take it out, but don't head into the hole yet. Continue to the end of the tunnel instead, and you can loot the chest for the Fire Axe and it's parts - the Fire Axe Blade and Fire Axe Handle. 

Return to the hole in the wall and head through. You'll find a Vivid Ergo Fragment up ahead. When you exit through the doorway, head to the right and up the stairs. Take the next right into another doorway. You'll find a Special Purification Ampoule on the ground to the right. When you approach it, two Blank Puppets will drop down from the ceiling. Defeat them, then head into the room on the left. At the top of the stairs, you'll find a note named Have you seen this eccentric?!. Take it, then go back down stairs and take the other stairs up. At the top here, you'll find the Doctor's Confessions.

After looting the place, you can head down the ladder by the hanging puppets to fight an optional boss, the Survivor, and unlock a shortcut back to the flaming boulder tunnel. This fight will be covered later in the walkthrough after some more equipment and upgrade materials have been collected, but feel free to fight them now if you are ready. 

Whether you fought the boss or not, exit this side room. If you head to your right, you'll find a lever you can interact with to lower the pipe in front of you, providing a handy shortcut back to the Entrance Stargazer. The way to complete the area can be found through the doorway behind you, but we will skip it for now in favor of fully exploring the factory and grabbing all the items. Make your way back down the stairs you came up and head straight to find the Red Fox and Black Cat. When you speak to them, they'll inform you that Lorenzini Venigni can still be found somewhere within the factory. If you picked up Venigni's Krat Landmark Guide II in Elysion Boulevard earlier, you can speak to the Black Cat about it, who'll tell you that all three volumes of Venigni's Landmark Guides will fetch you a pretty penny if collected. He'll offer you the Ripped Venigni's Krat Landmark Guide III for 500 Ergo if you want it. Note that if you read this copy and speak to the Black Cat again, he'll tell you that the copy isn't a real volume and was written by him.

Grab the Star Fragment in the alcove opposite to the two NPCs, then head through the tunnel to the left to continue forward. In a split to the left, you'll find a Blank Puppet waiting for you at the corner. Further down the hallway is a locked gate you can't access from this side, so instead, keep heading further forward down the corridor. At the end, look to your right to find three Worker Puppets. Defeat them and pick up the Vivid Ergo Fragment.

To the left is another set of hallways. You'll see an item in the distance when you turn the corner. Before you get to it, there will be a door on the left that you can unlock with the Trinity Key you obtained earlier from Arlecchino. Inside this room, you'll find a mysterious book in the middle of three chairs, and a Quartz and the Blue Blood's Tailcoat in the safe on the right. Exit the room and turn left. Grab the Attribute Resistance Ampoule, then turn right at the corner to activate a shortcut ladder back down to where you fought the Shield Puppet earlier.

Head back to the room with the three Worker Puppets and enter the red pipe. A couple of Blank Puppets will be found within the pipe. Turn left when you can, then turn left again to find two more Blank Puppets and a Saw Blade. Head back to the tunnels and move forward. As you approach the barricade, a Steampunk Puppet will smash through. Beware of it's delayed Fury Attack. When defeated, it will drop the Swordsmanship Master's Amulet. Reach the end of the hallway to pick up an Attribute Purification Ampoule and activate the lever on the machine. That lever will remove the corrupting water from the Puppet of the Future boss arena. Unlock the shortcut gate nearby and take it back to the Workshop Union Culvert Stargazer. 

 

Boss: Puppet of the Future

Interacting with the lever stopped the flow of Corruption water in some areas of the factory. With this hazard gone, you can now return to the Workshop Union Entrance Stargazer and explore the left side that was skipped earlier. When you turn the corner, you'll find a Brawler Puppet and two Blank Puppets. After defeating them, pick up the Radiant Ergo Fragment from the ground. Continue forward and to the left, then head down the ladder.

If you've unlocked the Venigni Works Control Room stargazer, you can also warp to it. Retracing your steps back to the ouside, you can unlock a shortcut by pressing a button to will move a red pipe to create a bridge.  That bridge will take you to the same ladder and to the boss arena, without the need to fight any puppet on the way.

Here, you'll be faced against an optional boss - the Puppet of the Future. It is very slow and not agile at all, so you can loot the items in it's arena before actually engaging it in battle. In front of you and to the right is a Radiant Ergo Fragment, while in a cubby to the left as a Hidden Moonstone. Further ahead is a Dim Ergo Fragment, and at the end is a chest with the Booster Glaive consisting of the Booster Glaive Blade and Booster Glaive Handle.

With all the loot out of the way, you can choose whether or not you actually want to fight this boss. As mentioned earlier, the boss has slow movement and slow, telegraphed attacks, making it relatively easier to dodge and parry it's attacks. In exchange, however, it's attacks can easily stagger you and deals good damage. This boss is all about reading it's movements - which limb/s it's going to attack with, where they are going to hit, and positioning yourself in favorable places to avoid getting hit while dishing out damage. Avoid attacking it with Electric Shock as it can transfer the status ailment back onto you. After it's been defeated, you will earn a single Quartz and a Radiant Ergo Chunk.

 

Boss: Survivor

Return back up the ladder going towards the Entrance Stargazer and take the pipe shortcut to the other side. Turn right and head through the brick wall, then re-enter the side room where you found the Doctor's Confession and Have you seen this eccentric?!. Defeat the two Blank Puppets that drop from the ceiling again and head down the ladder on the right side of the room.

You'll find a person rambling in front of a desk. If you're wearing the Blue Blood's Tailcoat when you talk to him, you'll get some special dialogue where he mistakes you for his deceased friend, Leo. With or without this outfit, speaking to the person initiates the optional boss fight against the Survivor. The Survivor fights with a longsword and is capable of quick melee attacks. He usually telegraphs when he's about to attack by pulling his blade arm back, letting you plan how to avoid it. An aggressive player may be able to cancel some of his moves while he's moving around or preparing his next attack.

After he's been defeated, you will gain the Stalker's Promise Gesture, Survivor's Mask, and Survivor's Hunting Apparel. Open the doors at the end to unlock a shortcut back to the flaming boulder tunnel, then return up the ladder you took to arrive at this room.

 

Continuing through the Factory

Exit the side room and turn right back towards the pipe shortcut. Head through the doorway we passed by earlier, right of the shortcut. Continue forward until you reach the large room, then turn left to find a staircase going up. At the top, turn right to find a Star Fragment on the ground, then turn right again, going into the room up ahead. You'll find Lorenzini Venigni and the Venigni Works Control Room Stargazer.
