Status Ailments in Lies of P are status ailments and elemental effects that can be applied to both the player and hostile characters. Status Ailments can be triggered and afflicted in various ways such as environmental effects, attacks from hostile characters, using certain skills, or consuming items. As of this writing, we don't have much information regarding this matter, but the page will be updated once more information has been released. Amount of Health Recovered when using Pulse Cells is decreased when the bar is even partially filled.

Pinocchio's HP gradually decreases when he is corrupted.

Decay will slowly lower Pinocchio's health and decrease the durability of Pinocchio's equipped weapon over time.

Decay occurs when Acid damage builds up. For both your character and the monsters, it increases the Acid damage taken.

It inflicts continuous Weapon Durability and Acid damage on your character. It increases Destruction damage dealt to monsters.

The higher your Acid Resistance, the slower the Decay gauge fills.

Disruption occurs when Disruption damage builds up.

When the Disruption damage gauge fills up, your character will die.

Electric Shock

Electric Shock occurs when Electric Bltiz damage builds up. Both your character and monsters will take increased Electric Blitz and Physical Damage.

Your character will receive continuous damage to your Fable slots. Monsters will experience increased Stagger damage.

The higher your Electric Blitz Resistance, the slower the Electric Shock gauge's charge speed.

Overheat occurs when Fire damage builds up. Both your character and the monsters will take increased Fire damage and receive continuous Fire damage.

In addition, monsters will experience slower natural HP recovery. Your character's Guard Regain recovery amount will decrease.

The higher your Fire Resistance, the slower the Overheat gauge's charge speed.

  • Dodge rolling will incrementally decrease the gauge.

When in Shock, your character's Stamina recovery immediately decreases.

      Break and Shock are terrible mechanics. The fact that the bar doesn't even have to be full for the effect to take place is atrocious. And even as a status effect that needs a full bar to activate, they're just shitty and imbalanced. Why make incredibly delayed attacks that are impossible to parry or even to dodge give you a slither of a status effect which then in turn causes you to be unable to avoid the attacks, so Shock builds up more in an endless cycle until you DIE. Terrible idea.

        Why have a bar for these statuses when the effect starts as soon as an enemy touches you regardless of how full the bar is, it's just dumb!

          haven't seen anyone else talk about this, so i have to ask: what even is the point of improving your resistance to shock and break, if their effects trigger just by being their at all, rather than after filling up the bar like all other statuses

            Should be mentioned here that there are 2 different purification/resistance ampules, first (Attribute) for Overheat, Electric Blitz, Decay, and Corruption. The second (Special) for Disruption, Shock, and Break.

              Not sure, but I suspect that destruction dmg in corrode is dmg that hits the enemy weapon when you perfect guard. Just makes sense, your weapon is breaking when it affects you. Enemy weapon gets damaged, flashes brightly, and eventually breaks w perfect guard…. Can’t be Stagger related, stagger dmg is already a separate thing…

                hidden status effect: grease, slows your movement down by alot. some enemies cover you in a vicous ooze later in the game.
