Special Weapons or Boss Weapons in Lies of P are special instruments that can be obtained by exchanging a unique Ergo from a defeated Boss. Unlike the many Blades and Handles, special weapons cannot be disassembled but they can be upgraded by using the required resources and materials. Boss Weapons feature unique Fable Arts or weapon skills and weapon designs that have a resemblance to the respective bosses, making this collection stand out from the rest. This page features all of the Special Weapons (Boss Weapons) in Lies of P. If you are looking for the Special Amulets, please visit our Amulets page.
How do I Obtain Special Weapons?
To unlock or obtain Special Weapons (Boss Weapons) in Lies of P, you will need to acquire the unique Ergo items that drop from defeating a main boss. For example, defeating the Parade Master boss rewards the player with the Parade Leader's Ergo. As you progress, you'll come across the St. Frangelico Cathedral location, from the St. Frangelico Cathedral Library Stargazer, you need to ride the lift that will take you to the balcony section of the cathedral. This is where you'll first meet Alidoro the hound, when he asks for a place where he can take refuge, answer Hotel Krat.
You should find him at the hotel by the west wing where Antonia is. Simply speak to him and he will explain how he can offer "legendary treasure" in exchange for powerful Ergo that you acquired from defeating the powerful bosses of the game. The boss-type Ergo is not only used to acquire a large amount of Ergo currency when it is consumed, but it is also a material that can be exchanged for these special weapons and amulets. It is important to take note that the Ergo you give will be removed from your inventory and it cannot be reacquired once the trade is complete. For a list of all Ergo items, please visit the Ergo page.
Can I Disassemble Special Weapons?
Unfortunately, these Special Weapons or Boss Weapons come as a single instrument and they cannot be disassembled or dismantled, unlike the other weapons. For a list of all weapons that can be disassembled, please visit the Blades or Handles pages. Although Special Weapons cannot be disassembled, these weapons are as strong as their own and they have unique Fable Arts that complement its moves and design.
How to Equip Weapons in Lies of P
Players can swap between two equipped weapons from the Weapon slots Menu. Press Right on the D-Pad to switch between them.
Each Weapon has a distinct Blade and Handle with their own unique Fable Arts. Fable Arts can be considered the game's Weapon Skills. They use up Fable Slots, with each art using up varying amounts of slots. Players can recover Fable Slots by continuously attacking enemies with their Weapons.

Is there a way to get the ergo from bosses that i already defeated and used their ergo?
hopefully the DLC expands on the elemental damage system into special weapons, since advance makes such a difference in base game bosses (acid is literally the only reason I killed laxasia)

sad there is no advanced scaling special weapons, but maybe for the best since advance is tied to elemental damage which not only deals additional damage to those weak to whatever type it is, it eventually applies a de-buff that causes all damage received by the monster to increase greatly although temporarily and potentially giving an elemental focused class an even more powerufl would have been game breaking
but maybe one day in a future dlc we will get such a weapon

Laxasia's transforming lightning greatsword would've made an awesome Motivity/Advance weapon

It's strange that some of the bosses weapons aren't available from their ergo, although I do really like all the special weapons regardless. It just seems like extra work to model and design whole new weapons when they could resize the boss weapons down for player use. Let's hope that they decide to add some of them in especially Laxative, the complete's sword and the final boss's weapon so advance builds can have something.
