So the wording is really weird on the item description. Basically, for the first half of his quest, he gives you a "sample wishstone", which automatically regenerates when you talk to him again(tedious I know), but once you find the Gold Coin Fruit Tree, your free trial runs out. So you have to start buying multiple of the same wishstone you want, and each of them are 1 time uses. The phrases "refills at a Stargazer" seems to mean if you have multiple of the same wishstone in storage, it will automatically refill it. Just play the game normally, and come back when the tree is full. I'm pretty frugal with them, but I have around 11 recovery wishstones stashed in storage from just forgetting about the tree timer and coming back once in a while. Interesting system but very poorly worded. Its a shame this isnt like the Wonderous Physick from Elden Ring, but hey you gotta make it work. Good hunting.

How do you buy more wishstones after you finish the game? The guy that sells wishstones leaves after the ending cutscene and only a letter is to be found there.

At least during the beginning part of the game (of which I am still in), you have to specifically visit Giangio and not a stargazer to recover a used wishstone.

After you buy wishstones from Giorno, are they also replenished upon use? And you have to buy them again?
If you're summoning Specters I recommend stocking up on Friendship Wishstones. Especially useful against the late game bosses.
