Ergo is a category of Items in Lies of P. Ergo can be used as a form of currency to purchase equipment or skills from Merchants found throughout a playthrough. Some variants of Ergo, categorized as Rare Ergo, can be obtained as drops from Bosses and can be exchanged with Alidoro for Special Weapons. Smaller Ergo fragments can be found from enemy loot or through exploration around Krat. This page contains a list of all Ergo variants that are found in Lies of P.
What is Ergo in Lies of P
While ergo is what grants movement to puppets such as Pinocchio, it is also a form of currency that players can use to purchase new equipment, materials, or other services from Merchants. Each type or size of Ergo grants players a different amount of Ergo Currency, so the brighter and bigger the Ergo, the more Ergo Currency players will be able to obtain from it. Rare Ergo on the other hand is different, it can be used to exchange for a Boss Weapon or to gain a large amount of Ergo.
How to Use Ergo in Lies of P
When players pick up Ergo it will automatically be converted into Ergo currency, while players can choose to exchange Rare Ergo with a Special Boss Weapon from Alidoro or gain a large amount of Ergo Currency.
Afterwards, players will be able to speak to any Merchant and purchase Items and equipment.
Types of Ergo in Lies of P
There are 2 types of Ergo in Lies of P that players can obtain. Ergos which are smaller fragments, chunks, and crystals, and Rare Ergo which are larger more unique-looking Ergo.
- Ergo: Ergo in Lies of P are blue crystals that come in 3 different forms: a fragment, chunk, or a crystal. Each ergo is unique, as they give a different level of brightness, giving players a different amount every time. All Ergo found in Lies of P can be used to purchase Items from Merchants. Ergo Chunks and Ergo Fragments can often be acquired through exploration in Krat, or as loot from enemies. Ergo Crystals can also be obtained as loot, although from small enemies.
- Rare Ergo: Rare Ergo in Lies of P are larger with unique appearances compared to regular Ergo. These can be used to gain large amounts of Ergo, as these can give between 10,000 to 15,000 Ergo. However, it is best used as its own currency to be exchanged with Alidoro, since he collects unique Ergo. He can give Special Weapons or Amulets depending on the Ergo given to Alidoro. These Rare Ergo can be obtained as drops from defeating Bosses in Lies of P. Each Rare Ergo has a corresponding Special Weapon or Amulet that is used by the boss that it came from, giving each equipment its own stats, effects, and Fable Arts.

AnonymousI offer a toast, and a prayer to the chaos gods for all of the folks who went into the game new to soulslikes and scrapped their boss memories without checking if it was good for anything. The game pretty much shoves alidodo in your face on your way out of the cathedral if you missed him, but by that point if you've been scrapping every memory you'll have missed several of the best weapons/talismans in the game.
Back when I played elden ring for the first time I scrapped godrick's memory because I wanted more levels and hadn't checked back at the roundtable since I killed him. Fortunately elden ring is extremely forgiving of this sort of thing, with the mausoleum mechanic allowing you to fix your mistake.

Resplendent ergo crystal is not listed, worths 10000 ergo and can be dropped by the scrapped Policeman Puppet at Barren Swamp very very rarely.
