What are Functional Items in Lies of P

Functional Items are items that are paired with Basic Items such as the Cube and the Grinder. These items benefit players in times of combat and in need, granting them temporary effects.

Activate Function Items

The Activate Function Items are for easily switching out the Grindstones, as well as switching out weapons to have different handles and blades. Although Weapons can be dismantled and customized to the players' liking, Special Weapons can only be upgraded with Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant or Full Moonstone of the Covenant and cannot be dismantled.

Grindstones

The Grindstones are used with the Grinder to grant temporary effects to the players' Weapons, these effects vary from elemental effects to enhanced combat performances.

Wishstones

The Wishstones are used with the Cube to grant players a one-time use effect and are most commonly used during combat, these effects vary from HP or Stamina restoration, giving a Specter elemental attacks while reducing the damage taken from Enemies, and other combat necessary effects.

How to Acquire Functional Items in Lies of P

There are various means to acquiring these Functional Items. Although almost all of the Grindstones and Wishstones can be purchased from the various Merchants in the game, players may also find them through boss drops or given by NPCs upon starting or completing a quest as a reward.

The Activate Function Items are given by NPCs. The Grinder Modification Tool is given by Venigni once players acquire their first Grindstone, while the Enigma Assembly Tool is given by Geppetto after players defeat the Boss Mad Donkey.
