It would be better if there are some logic or story of the weapon behind this quest... How "Frozen Feast" is connected with Fox's equipment??? Why? Just to hurt everyone who chose the amulet?)))

But of course I went with the amulet instead of acquiring the crappy "special stick for no special moments" and ended up with my hand slapping my own ass.

... Goddamn it. Of course it was a quartz I got locked out of for not being a strength build. Egh.

Everyone is pretty salty about this but the fact is the game has plenty of "Wear this at this moment" centric content. Im happy because my desire to get the whole set of boss items first (weapons) now pays off.

if i hear anyone preaching how brilliant this game is i will just need to fall back on this stupid quest to prove them wrong. what the **** were they thinking
- Anonymous
The sword is one of if not the weakest boss weapons. So of course people are going to take one of if not the strongest amulets.
Thanks Devs

What a crap decision is this? I didnt want the ugly sword and now i lost a quartz? Stupid af mechanic

The devs probably want people to go NG+ to get stuff they missed but without checking on a wiki you could still miss this.
- Anonymous
Yeah the devs can **** right off with this. What could they have possibly been thinking?!?
- Anonymous
Apparently Neowiz wanted to copy Fromsoft so bad that they locked important content behind an arbitrary decision that no reasonable player would make without a wiki

I picked the amulet, the price was 1 boss-soul, and apparently 1 quartz...

If you cleared the area and fought the boss he seems to disappear

Bought one amulet in the entire shop. Now I'm f*cked. Thank you devs

I tried killing him - apparently merchants are ethereal and immune to damage... Another reason for me to hate this game - locking equipment if you got the amulet instead of the ugly sword...
- Anonymous
What if I kill the merchant? I don't have the patience to go through another NG cycle...
- Anonymous
Bro why ;.; Why would anyone pick the ugly a** sword, give me my quartz
- Anonymous
so if I got the amulet instead of the weapon I can't get this reward? damn.
Gonna have to agree with everyone else here, it's pretty dumb to lock that behind a choice that forces you to NG+ if you made the wrong one. It wouldn't be as insulting if it wasn't so arbitrary - literally nothing links the Red Fox character and this boss weapon together and nothing gives you an hint before as to why it would be needed later on. I was lucky enough to has chosen the weapon (it's honestly super fun a pure motivity build), but still, it's stupid
