Gonna have to agree with everyone else here, it's pretty dumb to lock that behind a choice that forces you to NG+ if you made the wrong one. It wouldn't be as insulting if it wasn't so arbitrary - literally nothing links the Red Fox character and this boss weapon together and nothing gives you an hint before as to why it would be needed later on. I was lucky enough to has chosen the weapon (it's honestly super fun a pure motivity build), but still, it's stupid

It would be better if there are some logic or story of the weapon behind this quest... How "Frozen Feast" is connected with Fox's equipment??? Why? Just to hurt everyone who chose the amulet?)))

        • Anonymous

But of course I went with the amulet instead of acquiring the crappy "special stick for no special moments" and ended up with my hand slapping my own ass.

Everyone is pretty salty about this but the fact is the game has plenty of "Wear this at this moment" centric content. Im happy because my desire to get the whole set of boss items first (weapons) now pays off.

if i hear anyone preaching how brilliant this game is i will just need to fall back on this stupid quest to prove them wrong. what the **** were they thinking

              • Anonymous

The sword is one of if not the weakest boss weapons. So of course people are going to take one of if not the strongest amulets.

                Thanks Devs

The devs probably want people to go NG+ to get stuff they missed but without checking on a wiki you could still miss this.

Apparently Neowiz wanted to copy Fromsoft so bad that they locked important content behind an arbitrary decision that no reasonable player would make without a wiki

I tried killing him - apparently merchants are ethereal and immune to damage... Another reason for me to hate this game - locking equipment if you got the amulet instead of the ugly sword...
