Most satisfying weapon in the game by far. Amazing moveset, good range, good damage. good stagger and that guard parry is perfect.

I've beaten the game 6 times across 2 separate runs. Tried pretty much every weapon. Seven Coils is the best weapon in the game (possibly only second to the Azure Dragon glaive that got added recently). Your light attacks are very fast for a heavy weapon, the charged heavies deal incredible damage and proc staggers super easily. Some weapons you can even stunlock by just spamming charged heavies. Wonderfully applies status effect buildups too.

Guard Parry is ridiculous. Deals fantastic damage and can interrupt even Simon Manus or Nameless. I never got good enough to Guard Parry every attack, but if you master it, you can decimate every single enemy with incredible speed and efficiency. Even without Guard Parry, you'll absolutely erase enemies. As for Seven Explosions, I didn't always use it, but it's definitely worth the 3 slot cost sometimes. You do get incredible poise while you cast it, as anon said below, and you'd be surprised how often you find yourself in a situation where the AOE comes in really handy.

Incredible weapon. Try it if you haven't yet. Its biggest drawback is having to sacrifice the dodge amulet, but hey, if you do that on NG, you might be motivated to actually learn to Guard Parry properly.

I think its multi-hit charged heavy does more stagger damage compared to single-hit charged heavies from weapons that are around the same type and/or weight. My reasoning for this is that when I was testing this weapon unupgraded on some tough enemies, I could reliably get the first hit to trigger the white bar stagger, and the second hit would knock them down for the critical hit.

And even if it doesn't do more stagger damage than normal, it is pretty cool that you can do the white bar and the critical hit stun in like one press of a button. I haven't thoroughly tested most of the weapons in this game, but maybe that's also true for all weapons with multi-hit charged heavies. Although most weapons like that are light, and the seven-coil spring sword is a greatsword, so it's definitely a bit better stagger-wise.

Tthis can keep you good through all the higher NGs once you use the durability grindstone and durability max atk p-organ upgrades.

switched to this from the coil stick cause Laxasia was giving me trouble and instantly went from dying to phase 1 to getting phase 2 down to 50% so i´d say this weapon is awesome

I don't know why Mr Parade Master drops the ancient Korean-Japanese diplomacy sword but f*ck it, it's cool

Ruins Greatsword if you traded a bit of raw bonk power for a sick ass parry and a little more attack speed. Excellent weapon early on that keeps it's power all the way through the game

S-Tier weapon, especially if you're a UGS fan coming from Dark Souls. Even if you're not great at using the parry, the moveset is fantastic. The explosion attack has hyper armor and you can tank any hit while casting, which you can build into with reduced damage while charging or using Fable Arts. The running/dodging heavy is an excellent vertical combo, great stagger and DPS in confined spaces. And of course the neutral charge attack and the normal attack have a good horizontal reach.

I'm at the Arcade at the moment and have not found a more brutal and enjoyable weapon thus far. Coming from non-Special Greatswords, it's really hard to go back to normal weapons after using this beast.

God tier sword if you give it a motility handle and master the parry. The charged attack has great AoE and damage. The seven explosions is pretty meh to me I use it more so as a gap closer or finisher.
