Trident of the Covenant is a Special Weapon (Boss Weapon) in Lies of P. Trident of the Covenant is a blunt weapon that cannot be disassembled, it can be obtained by giving the Twisted Angel's Ergo to Alidoro. Boss Weapons or Special Weapons are weapons derived from the unique Bosses encountered in Lies of P. These are acquired by providing boss-type Ergo items to a special merchant, Alidoro.

A ritual trident that was lying asleep in the relic of Trismegistus. It is presumed to have once belonged to a great warrior who served an ancient king.

The warrior of the sea vowed to protect the people from the cursed relic. He kept his vow when his skin was mashed until it was green.

Unfortunately, the trident just didn't work for me. Decent damage, decent moveset, crit on a weapon that can stagger easily is pretty good, and the fable art does decent damage and poise... if it lands. For a poking weapon, I find its range and mobility lacking. The puppet ripper or long non-boss weapon combos, and even the extended ark sword are more fun and effective for me. For Guard Parry, we have Seven Coils and the new glaive, which are both fun to use and deal monstrous damage. What am I missing? I want to enjoy this weapon too...

If you're having trouble with the Nameless Puppet, use this with the Aegis arm and you can easily make short work of him.

Maybe this weapon is connected with the green monsters of the swamp according to the description. The shape of the blade (trident) is maybe a connection to the sea and The green monster is actually a tribute to the green fishman of the pinocchio original tale. Maybe the green warrior who kept the weapon was mutated into the monster.
Maybe you already noticed that but i wanted to share that anyway,
          bye

The first (and so far only) boss weapon I got. I didn't want another sword-like weapon. At least a trident is something different.

            I like it.

              * The combination of damage, guard, and moveset makes this the most versatile weapon in the game.
              * The gap-closing on both the dashing R2 and charged R2 makes it really easy to tap bosses after getting range from an AOE attack.
              * Can shine with literally any stat spread.
              * The fact that you get it so early in NG is wonderful.
              * Truly the GOAT.

I just beat the NG with this weapon and I can say, this thing absolutely SLAPS. It doesnt have the flashiness of any of the other boss weapons but it has he scaling, the move set is a great balance of slashing and striking moves, the guard power being so high means you can play defensively without being punished too much, a great combo of fable arts and lastly it is the only boss weapon (excluding the last bosses) that has crit. This weapon absolutely trucks with minimal investment in technique. I ended up going only 30 points into technique and mainly focused on health/stamina/capacity and never felt like I was missing on damage. If you are reading this page to see if you should use this weapon in your playthrough, the answer is YES.

10/10 easily my most favorite weapon of DS3, Sekiro, Elden ring and now lies of P

The regular charged R2 kills just about any regular enemy in one hit, and the fact that you move forward to deliver it lets you hit enemies before they can even get close if you time it right. It makes traversing areas a joke and it even deals massive damage and stagger to bosses. I had a Technique build so with the crank it had A scaling and was really the perfect weapon. I feel like it actually made the last boss and the Nameless Puppet a little too easy as I beat them each in just a couple of tries.

combine this with regain, aegis and assassins charm and you will have the best weapon in a game by a landslide, nothing else even comes close

Very good and fun weapon, you can start safe ambushes with running R2 and escape easily, and with one of three hits being critical is even better, so satisfying to see the extra critical damage explode enemies when you need it

Good weapon. When charge attacks crit it is heavy damage. Stack this with the crit ring and the crit whetstone and gg...

                          • Anonymous

The dashing heavy attack is ****in op, you can turn an instant 180 while kiting opponents and alternate between dashing away and whiff punishing on a dime. The handle's fable art does some crazy damage for just one fable charge, too. This is the Godskin Stitcher of this game lmao

                            • This is a surprisingly good technique weapon for midgame. It has more stagger potential than a lot of other technique weapons because it's big and its moveset is very good, having both wide slashes and long stabs. You just have to be mindful of some inconsistencies in the patterns: the light string goes stab, stab, sweep and the uncharged heavy attack is a sweep, for example, but the dashing light attack is a sweep and the dashing heavy attack is a lunging stab. Get in the habit of using the dashing heavy: it has a ton of range and is good for picking off enemies before they get the chance to attack. The blade-part Fable Art is also very useful, being a running stab attack with a leaping follow-up for an additional bar.

This has two charged attacks, the first one is a normal stab. The second charged attack is two spinning slashes and is a bit different, there's two ways to activate this move. First, buffer a second charge attack right after the first. Second, buffer charge attack after a light attack.
