Two Dragons Sword is a Special Weapon (Boss Weapon) in Lies of P. Two Dragons Sword is a sword weapon that cannot be disassembled, it can be obtained by giving the Puppet-Devouring Green Hunter's Ergo to Alidoro. Boss Weapons or Special Weapons are weapons derived from the unique Bosses encountered in Lies of P. These are acquired by providing boss-type Ergo items to a special merchant, Alidoro.

A precious sword that was at the Grand Exhibition gallery. They say it was the saber of a commander from a quiet eastern land.

The sea remembers the vow of the warrior. The general who rose up with the dragon to protect the people claimed a lonely victory in dozens of wars.

Lies of P Two Dragons Sword Moveset

The move set of the Two Dragons Sword has a number of unique properties separate from its two unique Fable Arts.

  • The player can hold a direction on the control stick to allow Pinocchio to move between slashes in the light attack string. When locked onto an enemy, it is possible to circle around the enemy in either direction using this mechanic, allowing repositioning without the use of the dodge button.
  • The charged heavy attack is unique in that the charge animation of the heavy attack is performed separately from the attack itself. When the heavy attack button is held, Pinocchio will spin the sword around for about one second until the sword flashes and a loud ping sounds. As long as the player continues to hold the button, Pinocchio can hold the heavy attack for an unlimited amount of time, having the ability to walk slowly while doing so. The heavy attack is performed when the button is released.
    • At any point during the sword spin charge, if the button is released before the flash and ping, Pinocchio will perform the uncharged version of the heavy attack, which is a sword slash followed by a backwards spinning leap, which moves the player away from the enemy about the length of the Mad Donkey's sawblade.
    • If an enemy strikes Pinocchio at the point of the flash and ping, Pinocchio will perform a unique parry that perfectly blocks the enemy's attack and immediately launches the charged heavy attack as a counterstrike. This unique parry can block Fury (red) attacks.

The heavy parry is so insanely good it's unreal, it fully stops enemy combos and opens them up to another charged heavy, while doing crazy stagger.

      • Anonymous

The best weapon from the game , everything about it is good , normal attacks strong attacks fable arts , and if that is not enough you have a build-in parry in the heavy charged .

        • Anonymous

I just picked this up and this might actually be busted. I knew about this weapon, but I didn't really believe it was that powerful until I got it. The heavy parry trivializes a lot of things.

          • Anonymous

I tried to love it, but I couldn't. It's just not for me, I guess. It feels waaaaay too weak to be fun to use. Movement on light attacks is cool and the heavy attack is really fun to try and learn, but the damage... I just can't shake off the feeling of how I'd rather be using booster glaive or puppet ripper or spear of honour or even my trusty greatsword of fate blade + dancer's curved handle. (Or running a motivity build like I did on my first runs.)

            • Anonymous

The special parry of the heavy attack pretty much won me the fight against Nameless. It takes a little work for the timing but it is an instant stagger. Stagger. Punish. Repeat ad infinitum.

Ok, this will sound crazy but "what if the Two Dragon sword is actually Alidiros'? Like the real Alidoro whom the imposter killed. That would explain the flourish of the handle sash, the real Alidiro only had 4 fingers on his dominant hand. That's my theory

Killing the Parade Puppet with this thing in NG+ was fun and easy.

I just whaled on the guy while moving the direction stick. Probably pressed the dodge button less than 5 times.

                  I like this sword.

Why are people shitting on an extremely fun to use sword? Just because you're bad at using it or can't parry worth **** doesn't mean you need to take out your incel rage on randoms on the internet

                    • Anonymous

Korean devs made a game by using a formula crafted by a Japanese studio, then put a sword of the man who kicked the Japanese's asses in the game. Cheeky.

This weapon is massively overhyped by content creators. Often being cited as the "Best Boss weapon". It is not, for one the basic moveset is average. It has a gimmick where you can twirl with the R1 if you press a directional input while doing the R1 combo. Most of the time you will want to use this because the blade has literally no stagger potential. Now for the parry, one of weapon's strong suits. The parry for the weapon is probably the strongest thing about it. Unfortunately, the timing needs to be practiced if you ever plan to try and get this off against bosses you'll need to memorize the exact window of opportunity to get off the parry. If you don't you will get smacked and combo to death a large majority of the time. The first fable art is basically moonveil which is a blade beam projectile. This one I found more useful than the other fable art because it's cheap and goes off really fast and can be used in mid range. The second fable art dodges then if you press additional inputs it'll do a three hit combo. This fable art I only used the first dodge in situations where the boss was in mid combo. However, following up with additional inputs was barely even worth it because the bosses attacks could easily just smack you out of it. It cost multiple fable bars to pull off and can be canceled fairly easily making it relatively less useful than the moonveil attack. Finally the block mitigation is low so if you can't parry and rely on blocking attack strings be prepared to get chunked way more than if you use the other boss weapons. Now why go through the effort of using this weapon when you can just use any other weapon that doesn't need a gimmicky parry to reliability stagger and has the ability to be customized if it's a non boss weapon. Hell the big wrench does more damage, reliability staggers and can be made fast with modifications.

Don't be a casul and start spamming R1 with this beautiful sword, you can be better. Once you master the parry of the charged R2, you will be unstoppable, but it's hard to perform all the time. What I do is slap Aegis arm and block unsafe or hard to read attacks then go for the parry once you can react. Fable arts are also very good, use them.

Is that meant to be a Mulan reference?

A “General who rose up with the Dragon” makes me think of a warrior mentored by a dragon on the path of becoming a dragon herself.. it could be a real sick boss fight.

This is not a Katana suprisingly, but a Hwando. Seems to be referencing the one used by Yi Sun-Shin specifically

I like the sword but I consistently miss my attacks because of the fact the direction you press changes where he attacks, I want to attack the enemy while circling him, not attack the nonexistent enemy to my left

It has an interesting moveset, the r1 spam is very powerful because it has a lot of forward movement and nice damage. The heavy attack will send you back and situationally, it can be defensive. I was used to combining r1 and r2.... now I cannot because if r2 sends me back, no more r1s. Have to come in again.

Running r2 is very strong and it pushes you forward a lot. I lead with that, then r1 spam to keep hounding retreating foes. It deletes black rabbit brother hood, it easily out distances their backsteps and the r1 hounds and staggers them until your stamina ends. Except for the big guy.

In most Souls-like games I'm a filthy dex user. Lies of P is the first game where I've thoroughly enjoyed both Strength/Motivity & Dex/Technique and you can kind of switch back and forth. With that being said....

This weapon is insane, not to mention how fun it is to use. It feels like you're ice-skating around enemies while they do their best to counter you in some way. There's i-frames at the start of the light attack string, the perfect parry + strong attack follow up if you time it correctly, and the scaling is fine on basically any build. The running heavy attack comes out quicker than most weapons running light attacks, yet most enemies you can simply light attack while spinning around them in circles to dodge any counter-attacks they have.

Based on some initial testing it looks like it's actually better to have a primarily technique build with some points dipped into motivity, unless you plan on starting dex and staying there the whole time. I started Sweeper/Strength so my lowest strength is 11. At 20 Motivity/45 Technique I had higher damage with a balance crank than I did with a technique crank, though it was only by about 7 if I remember correctly. Haven't done thorough testing, but this weapon is just fantastic on nearly any build it feels like, and is crazy fun to use. 10/10

yo dawg, i heard you like sekiro, so we added a sekiro parry on a sekiro sword in your sekiro-like game.

This are ancient chineese sword used to chop head off cow to make generals chineese chicken and rice. Very spooky.

I believe this weapon is a Wo long Easter egg. The sword looks very similar to the starting sword in Wo Long. Both games have mentioned doing crossovers with each other and the flavor text mention a commander in a eastern land who defended the people with a dragon in dozens of wars just like in Wo Long

Something that the article misses is that a perfect parry from charging the standing heavy attack adds a MASSIVE boost to the fable meter. One perfect parry with the follow up swing is enough to charge a full bar of fable for me.

This is katana. From where you have information that "The model is the 'Ssangyonggeom', a type of Hwando that appears in Korean history"?
First of all The Sword called "Ssangyonggeom" has Double-Edged Blade.
Second, Hwando type swords have short hilt, long enough to hold it with one hand. Twin Dragon Blade have long hilt so you can hold it with two hands just like Katana type swords (this weapon even have moves where P is grabbing it with two hands).

The alternative to this weapon is an amulet that lets you dodge Fury (red) attacks. However, the parry that is a part of the charged attack can actually repel and retaliate against Fury attacks, which means you get an option to beat Fury attacks either way.

                                                  • This weapon literally let's you play the game easier. It gives you movement while attacking, better I frames dodges, parry attacks and attack-dodge cancels all in one. I'm not really sure why they give this weapon every trick in the book at once but it makes it hard to get hit if you play right.

                                                    • There's a reason like three separate NPCs tell you how amazing this weapon is when you get back to the hotel after you beat the Green Monster: it's completely nuts for a technique build. It has a totally unique moveset with some of the best mobility options in the game, a unique heavy attack with an entire unique parry mechanic built into the charge, and two unique Fable Arts that are both incredibly flashy and useful (and which pay homage to some excellent Elden Ring weapon arts: Link Emergency Dodge is essentially the Dynast's Finesse weapon art on the Bloody Helice, and Wind of Swords is a horizontal sword beam nearly identical in function to Moonveil's light attack sword beam.) With a technique crank, it can also get up to S scaling in technique with _no scaling on any other stat_, meaning there's no reason to put points into any other damage stat if you don't want to. Use those points to pump vigor and you'll essentially never have to stop moving during combat.
