The Heart of the Plaza

When you exit the Krat Central Station Lobby, you'll emerge into the Station Plaza. In front of you as you approach the center of the plaza, you'll find your first Stargazer. These act as checkpoints, allowing you to recover your HP and Stamina. Sophia will reach out to you, letting you know that she's funneling her power into the Stargazers temporarily. Until you get to Hotel Krat, you'll be able to Level Up and improve your Stats using Ergo from any Stargazer you find, including this one.

Leave the Stargazer after levelling up. To the left, you'll find a few Puppet Dogs and Puppet Butlers. More importantly, there are three items in the area, a Fable Catalyst, Dim Ergo Fragment, and Krat Times Issue 183. To the right, you'll find a Puppet Butler, and if you go further behind the broken down bus, you'll find another two. When you get to the two Puppet Butlers, you'll be taught how to use your Fable Arts. Next to the bench in the area is a Vivid Ergo Fragment. Up the stairs, you'll find another three Puppet Butlers. There's a locked gate up ahead that you can't unlock from this side, but the item in front of it is a Sawtoothed Wheel.

Head back down the stairs and turn right. Stay up on the balcony and don't head down these steps yet. Defeat the Puppet Butler up here. Through the passageway on the right is another locked door you can't unlock from this side. Head down the stairs instead and you'll find yourself behind a Puppet Marksman. Hop down and defeat the two Puppet Butlers, then pick up the Dim Ergo Fragment next to the archway.

Head through the archway and defeat the Puppet Dog to the left. Descend the steps here and head through the next archway. To the left is a Vivid Ergo Fragment on some steps. To the right, is a long walkway downwards. At the end, is a Guard-looking puppet wielding a broken piece of metal. Defeat it and turn right into an alleyway. Up ahead is a Thermite guarded by a Puppet Butler. Turn right at the corner and take out the Puppet Marksman and Puppet Butler. There are some stairs to the right that will take you up to a Dim Ergo Fragment. Return after it's open and head through the next archway, taking care of the Puppet Dog and three Puppet Officers.

You'll be able to either go left or continue forward through a small archway. Head through the small archway to find Venigni's Urgent Repair Tool. Backtrack and head through the left passage next. Head down the stairs to find a Puppet Dog feasting on a body with a Fable Catalyst on it. Be careful of the headless Puppet Butler that appears behind you when you go to pick it up. Return upstairs and head up the next staircase. At the top, you'll be able to unlock a locked gate that opens up a shortcut back to the center of the plaza.

Turn left and take the walkway into the Circus. Activate the Stargazer here, the Cerasani Alley Stargazer, and level up if you wish to. You can speak with the Wandering Merchant to purchase some new Weapons or other useful Items. At the end of the walkway, you'll find a note called Introducing the Parade Puppet!. Return to the Stargazer and head up the steps. At the top is a locked gate, which you can interact with when you're ready to face a Boss.

Boss: Parade Master

A short cutscene will play, after which the fight against the Parade Master will begin. Note that the closest Stargazer to this boss fight is the Cerasani Alley Stargazer. The Parade Master has large, telegraphed attacks, making it a good first boss to practice your dodging and perfect guarding with. At half health, his attacks get more powerful, having longer or wider wind-ups in exchange for more damaging blows and an extra attack in it's combos. The Parade Master will mostly attack with it's arms or with it's whole body, so keep an eye out for it's upper body. It has a move where it glows red and does a belly flop. Remember that these types of attacks where enemies glow red, Fury Attacks, cannot be dodged or guarded. They can only be negated by Perfect Guarding.

Once defeated, the Parade Master will drop the Parade Leader's Ergo and Quartz. Head forward through the doorway into another open area. On the left, you'll find a Fable Catalyst next to a car, and a Dim Ergo Fragment in the far corner. Approach the stairs to the right. At the base of the steps, you'll find a puppet that will give you a clue on what will happen ahead. Ascend the steps to the top and turn around to head forward. Before interacting with the doors, you can find a Dim Ergo Fragment among some puppet bodies on the left side. To the right of the doors, you'll find a Hidden Moonstone.

When you're ready, interact with the hotel doors. The Hotel Defense System will ask you who you are. This will be your first encounter with the Lie System. Though a lie, you must tell the defense system that you are a human, otherwise you will not be allowed in. Enter the premises and you'll find yourself in Hotel Krat.
