Full Estella Opera House Walkthrough

Estella Opera House Entrance

After defeating the Mad Clown Puppet past the Rosa Isabelle Street Culvert, you'll get to the Estella Opera House. Interact with the Estella Opera House Entrance Stargazer. Behind you at the Stargazer, you'll find an Attribute Purification Ampoule next to an interactable statue. On the left side of the courtyard, you can pick up an Electric Blitz Abrasive off of a bench. On the right side, there'll be a Special Resistance Ampoule in the corner. The staircases going down on both sides of the courtyard lead to locked gates, though the one on the right should be noted as it may open up later to provide a shortcut.

Once you're done looting the area, interact with the double doors of the opera house to enter. A Puppet Lady will come down the stairs ahead. Defeat it and head up the first set of stairs. Straight ahead will be a Special Purification Ampoule.

With your back to the entrance of the opera house, go up the next staircase on the right. Two Puppet Ladies will drop down from the ceiling. After defeating them, pick up the Dark Moon Moonstone of the Covenant from balcony area of this level. Head up the next set of stairs where the blood trail is leading you to, and you'll find a Spider Puppet. After defeating it, you can pick up the Vivid Ergo Fragment from the ledge of the balcony it was on.

Continue forward into the next room, where you'll be on a balcony overlooking a swinging chandelier on fire. To the right, you'll find a chest containing the Belford Disruption Cartridge. Turn around and go to the other end.

Turn right at the corner and open the door. Adelina will be sitting on a chair inside. She'll mention being tricked by someone into believing that the opera house was a safe haven. Speak to her again and she'll ask if you have any fruit on you. If you've bought the Bright Red Apple from Polendina at Hotel Krat earlier, you can give it to her and she'll tell you a little bit about herself and her sister, the White Lady. If you don't have the apple on you at the moment, you can go back to the hotel at anytime and bring it back to her when it's convenient. Just make sure to give her the apple before defeating the boss of the opera house, or you'll be locked out of her reward.

Make your way all the way back to the lobby of the opera house. Head down the steps and, with your back to the entrance, head up the stairs to the left this time. Same deal as last time, two Puppet Ladies will drop down from the ceiling. After defeating them, you can go up the stairs to the side to find another Spider Puppet. 

Go back down the narrow side stairs afterwards, and head through the doorway leading into a room with a red carpet. Turn right and you'll find another Spider Puppet at the end. It will be accompanied by three other Puppet Ladies. Deal with them all and about halfway through the hallway, there'll be a Fable Catalyst on a desk to the right. Continue further down and take the stairs on the right all the way down.

Turn left at the bottom, and descend the next set of stairs. There'll be a dark room to the left where you can find the Technique Amulet within a chest at the end. Head back out the room and go further down the corridor. At the end, a Performer Puppet can be found patrolling the area. The room at the corner has a safe containing the Exploding Pickaxe made of the Exploding Pickaxe Blade and Exploding Pickaxe Handle.

Exit the room and turn right. The golden statue to the right of the area can be interacted with to learn more about Adelina. Up ahead, you'll find a locked gate, and a staircase going upwards to the left. Pick up the Crescent Moonstone at the top of the stairs, then turn left and up the next set.

On this upper floor, you can find a locked door on the left you can unlock from this side to open up a shortcut back to the lobby of the opera house. On the right, is a doorway leading into the room with the fiery chandelier. Though you'll see a Crack's Calling on the other side, drop down into the hole in the middle of the room first. Down here, you'll find a Saw Blade and a Trinity Sanctum. You may not have a Trinity Key yet at this point, but return after solving the Grand Exhibition Gallery riddle to grab the loot inside. The safe withing this sanctum contains the Belford Superior Radiation Converter and a piece of Quartz.

To the right after exiting the Trinity Sanctum, there'll be a doorway leading out into a hallway. If you go to the right, you'll find a locked gate you can unlock from this side to return to the room with the golden statue. Before going back to the fiery chandelier room, there are a few places to go for more loot.

Start by heading into the room to the right with your back towards the shortcut gate. Three puppets will attack you, but after they've been cleared, you can loot the safe within for the Incredible Venigni Collection. Similar to Krat Supply Boxes, Venigni Collection Boxes can be given to Pulcinella at Hotel Krat to increase its wares.

Exit the room and head straight ahead, going up the stairs. You'll find a Sawtoothed Wheel at the very end. Nearby, there'll be a narrow set of stairs going upwards. Take it, and you'll be in a hallway similar to the one before you reached the golden statue. Here, you'll find a Performer Puppet and a Spider Puppet accompanied by two other Puppet Ladies. 

Turn right at the top of the stairs and a little bit into the hallway, you'll find a Dim Ergo Chunk on a table to your right. Continue to the end of the hallway and enter the room. You can pick up the Notes from an Experiment on the counter, then if you carefully make your way across the wooden beam, you'll also be able to obtain a Legion Magazine.

There are two ladders in this room - one going up and the other going down. Head upwards first to find a chest with the Jeweled Cryptic Vessel. Go back down the ladder, and down the next one too. Through the doorway, there'll be a Dimensional Butterfly that drops a Technique Crank. You'll also find a Soldier Puppet here. After they've both been defeated, head to the end of the alleyway to find an Electric Blitz Abrasive and a shortcut gate you can unlock leading back to the Entrance Stargazer.

Make your way back to the fiery chandelier room and cross the beam. To the left, you'll find a Dim Ergo Fragment and a Crack's Calling. When you're ready, interact with the double doors to face a boss

 

Boss: King of Puppets & Romeo, King of Puppets

When you enter the stage area, you'll be faced against the fabled King of Puppets. This boss features a lot of moves, most of which have different ways of being avoided. For a detailed guide on how to defeat this boss, please visit its individual page. The main things you want to remember for this fight is that at about 50% health, it will gain new attacks, most notably a series of spinning attacks. Guarding against these attacks will quickly chip at your health, so you want to be avoiding them entirely, either by dodging away or being at a far enough distance when you see it telegraphing the attack.

After completely depleting the King of Puppets of its health, you will be immediately thrust into another fight against Romeo, King of Puppets. Again, for a detailed guide on how to defeat this boss, please visit its individual page. Compared to the King of Puppets, Romeo can be interrupted and staggered easier. You'll find an offensive playstyle more beneficial in this fight than against the previous.

When both bosses have been defeated, you'll receive the Burnt-White King's Ergo, Puppet Prince's Formal Dress and Someone's Necklace as a reward. At the stage ahead, you'll be able to repair a Stargazer behind the set, giving you access to the Estella Opera House Stage Stargazer.

 

Changes at Hotel Krat

When you return to Hotel Krat after defeating Romeo, King of Puppets, you'll find the Note Left at the Counter where Polendina is supposed to be. If you read it, you'll learn that he wishes to speak to you at the garden that leads into Elysion Boulevard. Head out the door behind Sophia and speak to Polendina by the fountain. He'll confess that he's developed some feelings for Antonia, but is confused as puppets are usually unable to feel human emotions. You'll then be put in a Lie System Scenario where he'll ask you if you've ever met a puppet in love with a human. If you Lied to Julian at the Rosa Isabelle Street Culvert and received his wife's Wedding Ring, you can present it to Polendina as proof that it is possible. This counts as a Lie and Polendina will reward you with Gemini's Iron Protection.

If you speak to Sophia, she'll express worry about Antonia's declining health due to the Petrification Disease. Approach Antonia in her room. You'll find her reminiscing about her youth. She'll then ask you if you see any resemblance between her and the portrait of herself as a young lady, which will start a Lie System Scenario. Saying 'Of course' constitutes as a Lie, but Antonia will be grateful for the compliment.

 

Cracking the Jeweled Cryptic Vessel

Next, you can give the Incredible Venigni Collection to give him more stock. He'll also reward you with a Vivid Ergo Fragment for returning the collection to him.

Behind him, speak to Venigni and hand over the Jeweled Cryptic Vessel to get the Jeweled Cryptic Vessel Decryption. It will direct you to the Krat Central Station, so teleport over to Krat Central Station Plaza. Go down the staircase on the right side of the plaza and keep heading forward until you reach the cliffside. Head down to the very end, where you'll find the guard-looking puppet. You can look at the decryption to find exactly where you should be. While standing where the 'X' is on the picture, use the Check Ground Gesture to find The Atoned's Hunting Apparel and a Legion Caliber.

 

Back at the Opera House

Return to the Estella Opera House Entrance Stargazer and make your way back to Adelina's room. She'll have perished, but you can loot the Fascination Record and Red Actress's Locket from the desk. Return to the Entrance Stargazer using the Moonphase Pocket Watch, then teleport over to the Estella Opera House Stage Stargazer to proceed forward.

You'll be back behind the set on stage. Head forward through the doorway ahead and turn left at the corner. This will lead back outside. As you exit the opera house, Geppetto will speak to you and tell you to head to the Grand Exhibition where the Alchemists there have developed a cure. When your conversation ends, you'll be given an additional Pulse Cell charge. Through the gap past Geppetto, you'll find yourself at the Charity Market Path.
