Robber Weasel Fight Strategy

The Best Tips for Robber Weasel:

The Robber Weasel wields a Fire Axe-like weapon. The robber will deal a number of basic melee attacks much like other Stalker encounters. She tends to run or dash in and then attack before backing away again before her next approach. Once she attacks she has a number of powerful swings performed in combos that are difficult to avoid once you get caught in her attack. You can attempt to backstab her after she deals one of her heavier attacks. Other times, it would be hard to get behind her because of how quickly she moves. Watch for when her bar turns white and try to focus on staggering her in these moments.

Her basic melee attacks consist of overhead and side swinging and a combination of melee attacks accompanied by a ranged projectile she uses that are difficult to anticipate. She has a swift movement and can dash forward with an attack. She swiftly moves around the combat area and will balance it out by repositioning and slowly approaching you before transitioning into a run then attack.

Because of her quick movement, if you decide to keep a distance during this fight, watch out for her throwable objects. You can wait for her to run at you then dodge or block as she approaches and transitions into an attack. There will be a brief window where you can retaliate, but make sure you don't lower your guard while her attack sequence is not finished. She might also quickly back up before restarting her attack sequence again at a distance. Watch out for her roll approach, since it might be harder to predict when her attack will strike.

Robber Weasel Attacks & Counters

Jump attack The Robber leaps followed by striking down which can knock you over. Block this attack.
Toss Throwing Object The Robber weasel has a throwable that can be tossed as a ranged attack Dodge out of the way of the projectile.

Its encounters like this that make me think that if you had the right costume on or used the right gesture during/before a fight, then you would get unique dialogue or interactions that could even get you to circumvent the whole scenario.

If there are things like that in the game, outside of a couple of secrets from gestures, id love to know, because it feels like a serious missed opportunity to add an extra layer of intrigue in the game.

She's relatively easy the first playthrough. But on NG+ she gets way more aggressive often spamming her combo over and over again. Don't try to R2, she'll either back step you or interrupt you in mid charge. She also has impressive poise as most attacks won't stagger her and instead trade. The safest option is to parry bait her to use her obvious overhead and try to break the axe. Afterwards you can side strafe left or right and she can't reach you when you dodge her attacks. Alternatively bring throwables and just chuck it at her while she's at a distance it'll chunk her health decently.

Had trouble landing my charged r2 on this one, I just r1 spammed her, it felt like blood borne w no gun. Well, I had a poor weapon I guess, the meat cleaver knife, needs three strikes for charge r2 to register. Feels bad to see the white bar, but she just whacks me out of the third charge. I can imagine how good the bone cleaver or the city spear must feel vs this. For some reason my hook legion arm was not always pulling, sometimes bouncing off instead/ retracting back to arm.

Took about 3 ? bottles of fire to get her to burn.

This was one of the easier human fights. Breaking their weapon was quite easy and then just strafing and hitting them with the Bone-Cutting Saw whittled their health down.

This is the only stalker that took me more than a couple of tries. The Crit grinder works wonders here. Would it have killed them to design one stalker you didn’t have to backstab to death?

If you don’t feel like fighting her you can cheese the fight.
Just run PAST here and up the stairs. She will follow you and your can kite her into all the carcass monsters upstairs who will fight her.
By the time she had killed all of them she was down to less than a quarter of her health and I killed her easy

One of the most bullshit human fights in the game. Makes no sense that a magically powered android has trouble dealing with a literal thug who fights like she is on crack.

Homing lunge attacks that can hit you with pinpoint precision from halfway across the room, and then she follows up with a good ol' 20-30 hit combo with that endless stamina of hers just for good measure.
Had to abuse backstabs over and over to eventually beat her, but even that was a pretty close call thanks to some seriously awful hitboxes and the fact that she was bouncing around the arena like a pinball on crack
