Corrupted Parade Master Fight Strategy

The Best Tips for Corrupted Parade Master:

The Corrupted Parade Master shares similar attacks with the Parade Master before its corrupted form. This time, it begins the fight with the makeshift mace weapon, and its head is replaced with a growth from the corruption. In addition to its new physical outlook, its attacks are also now laced with the ability to spread Decay. Some new attacks only seen in the corrupted variant are the ability to spew Decay and create a small spawn. it will appear in a blob of decay goo and will react on its own close to the main boss. This time if it grabs you, it's new head will trap you and engulf you, increasing your damage and Decay intake until the attack is over.

Like the previous encounter, play aggressively in between attacks. Once he is staggerable, his HP bar will be highlighted in white. Successfully stagger him and he will fall, allowing you to freely attack during this period. Use your charge attack to stagger him during this opening. This will open up the opportunity to deliver a fatal attack and cause great damage.

Most of its attacks will involve melee attacks with its weapon. His erratic swings can be performed in a combo so make sure you are prepared for the whole sequence before charging in on him to attack. His Swings will usually include forehand and backhand swings and he will be able to rotate his body around, extending his reach past the area in front of him. With his other hand, he will also be able to throw large punches. To approach aggressively, hug the area behind him and deliver your combos. You can also keep a mid-range to wait for him to charge then react accordingly. If you have Flamberge equipped, you will be able to continue damaging him without approaching too closely. Follow a similar strategy to the first encounter, while especially knowing when to stop and wait out his attacks.

Corrupted Parade Master Attacks & Counters

Attack Description Counter
Charge This attack is health when you are distanced away from him. The parade draws his body back before lunging forward toward you. This attack has an obvious indicator, allowing you to reposition away from his general direction to avoid damage.
Stomp Like his other melee attacks, he has another attack where he stomps directly in front of him. Dodge away as he lifts his leg and take advantage of the moment after he performs this attack.
Swipe This attack has a slightly larger range and allows him to swing back when you are behind him. Try not to remain directly behind him because this attack will be harder to anticipate.
Body Slam The Parade Master will throw his whole body on the ground in front of him like a belly flop. You will only need to sidestep. This attack will be followed by a long opening for your own attacks.
Body Slam Crawl After landing the body slam, it can proceed to crawl forward, slamming the ground four times at a consistent pace. This is a slow approach, and you'll still be able to keep your distance.
Fury Attack When enemies become red, they can use a Fury attack that can't be dodged. The only way to counter these attacks would be to keep a distance or to counter with a Perfect Guard.
Mace Swing This is a bigger ranged attack that affects the area directly surrounding him. Stay out of his direct area in between your melee attacks.

The real problem this fight posed for me is the INSANE status buildup. One grab attack was practically death every time. Two weak attacks would inflict immediate decay.

Lies of P? Lies of Wiki more like! Ignore what it says! Shock won't do anything! Equip the flame-thrower, your fire grindstone, and anything fire-related you can and TORCH THE BIG SNARLY BRUTE!

        • This boss ended up being more frustrating that most. Not in a difficulty sense, but just because it made me hate everyone on the planet including you guys for basically saying that you can beat this boss by avoiding attacks and landing hits when you can. Thanks, Fextraobvious.

The best strategy I found for this boss was to hover just outside his attack range and bait out the bellyflop. Run or dodge away from his flailing, or parry if you’re into that sort of thing, then take your free hits as he recovers. When he pukes up an add, rush in and kill it before he even recovers from the retching animation. Rinse and Repeat

            • my biggest complaint is, from everything i've tried, once you get to this boss it appears that you are locked into this encounter until you win. no way to visit merchants to buy more consumables, and no way to grind to level up.

              • Those grabs that do like 70% of your health can make like a tree and get out of here. Also the maxed puppet string worked well for this fight, especially if you've been investing in the perks that restore legion after killing something. This guy summons weak monsters all the time and they basically just act like fuel for the mack truck coming down on his ace. He's also not so aggressive you can't run away for a breather to grind your weapon which you will need to do because of the constant decay status.

it’s all thanks to the thrusting legion habd attack very powerful and critical damage guaranteed with no time for enemy to avoid it
